Web Browser Company Share Price Spikes By 10% After Announcing Nintendo Switch Lite Uses Them
Today we have some interesting news about Japanese company ACCESS, a developing of web browsers and other technology.
ACCESS, which developed proprietary NetFront web browsers for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems and Nintendo Switch, announced in a press release their NetFront Browser NX would also be used in the upcoming Nintendo Switch Lite.
Although Nintendo doesn’t allow Switch owners to use the web browser for surfing online, it does use NetFront Browser NX as an interface for the Nintendo eShop and instruction manuals.
After the announcement, ACCESS saw its share price quickly rise by up to 10% before trading closed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Even though the news isn’t a really big piece of news, investors probably thought it would be a good time to buy as the company is still supplying Nintendo with their proprietary NetFront browsers.
