Platinum Games has revealed more of their plans for the recently announced remaster of The Wonderful 101.
Speaking to Polygon, Platinum’s Hideki Kamiya explained that the team was “happy” with the current size and content of the original Wonderful 101, and that there are currently no plans to add new characters or “gameplay content”. That said, Kamiya confirmed that they were interested in adding “new modes”, although this would be part of the Kickstarter stretch goals.
As of this writing, two of these new modes have been revealed on the game’s Kickstarter page: A “Time Attack” mode, along with a 2D Side-scroller mode called “Lukas’ First Mission”. It is not known if these are the only new modes being planned, or if more will be revealed in the future.
If you are interested in supporting the project, you can find the Kickstarter here.
