Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Runs At 30 FPS With Handheld Resolution Starting From 378p

Dataminer MasaGratoR, which has gotten their hands on an early copy of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, has figured out how the game performs on Nintendo Switch.

According to the dataminer, the game runs at a stable 30 frames per second in TV and Handheld Mode. In Handheld Mode, the game has a dynamic resolution between 378p and 540p, while in TV Mode, it has a dynamic resolution between 540p and 720p. The game performs similarly to Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

In addition, it was also discovered that Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition still has a sharpening filter with two options – Type and AwareIntensity. However, it’s applied “less aggressively” than Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Graphic tweaks to cutscenes are stored in a separate file, and there are a few new configuration options – furBlur, lightShaft, and monochrome + “reduceDirLightRim”.
