Today we have some interesting words to share from Yacht Club Games, developers of the Shovel Knight series.
In an interview with GamesIndustry, James Chan, director of operations, stated that the studio is focused on developing for Nintendo Switch. He also said Yacht Club Games is appreciate of those who supported Shovel Knight since the Wii U days.
Here are his full words:
“It was so early that we benefited from people having nothing else to buy. We were lucky then, but we still see that Switch is a really good platform for us. It is where the players who speak our language are. It will definitely be our main focus.”
Chan also revealed Shovel Knight has sold 2.65 million copies across all platforms.
