Interesting news from a Chinese accessory maker – it seems that you can swap out the Joy-Con 2’s side strips for other side strips, similar to New Nintendo 3DS face plates and PlayStation 5’s side panel.
The side strips can be attached and detached easily by using a tool provided by the accessory maker. Currently, the accessory maker is offering two types of side strips – left blue strip/right red strip set, and left red strip/right blue strip set. It’s not hard to imagine that other colors and designs will be available in the future, possibly even from Nintendo themselves.
