Interesting news – it has become possible to download the Animal Crossing: New Horizons version 1.1.1a update, which patches the duplication bug and lets players participate in the easter event, on a Tencent Nintendo Switch.

This is quite unusual as players who play a globally released Nintendo Switch game on a Tencent Nintendo Switch sold in China are unable to update their games. Nintendo could have probably made an exception this time round, thanks to the growing popularity of Animal Crossing: New Horizons in China.

Please keep in mind the game isn’t officially sold in China at this time, but it could still be played on a Tencent Nintendo Switch as it is region free.
