Nintendo Switch 2 system packaging from Europe has indicated that a system update must be downloaded and installed before you can use a microSD Express Card.

This isn’t something unusual, as the Nintendo Switch also required a system update before players can use their microSD cards. Here is what is stated on the packaging:

“A system update is required to use a microSD Express memory card”
