Eiji Aonuma, longtime producer for The Legend Of Zelda, has received a major accolade from the Minster Of Culture in France.
As reported via NewsinFrance and Le Figaro, Aonuma has been granted the title of Knight Of The Order Of Arts And Letters by France’s Minster Of Culture. This accolade is meant to recognize individuals who have made “significant contributions to the arts, literature, or the propagation of these fields”. At the time of this writing, a date for the conferment of this award has yet to be announced.
Eiji Aonuma joins a number of prominent Videogame Developers in receiving this honor, including Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario. Other notable winners include Michel Ancel for his work on Rayman, and Peter Molyneux for his game Populous.
