Nintendo apologizes to Japanese customers for Switch shortage, will ramp up production
It has been pretty tough to find a Nintendo Switch in Japan, and customers were left to either buy from scalpers or wait in line for a chance to buy a set.
Nintendo Co, Ltd has issued an official statement regarding the shortage, apologizing to customers who had difficulties in securing a Switch. The company also said they will ramp up production in July and August, which is a critical period of time as two highly anticipated titles will launch in both months.
The Nintendo Switch Splatoon 2 set, which comes with a copy of the game and Neon Green/Pink Joy-Con, will also be manufactured in higher volume.
