After skipping 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Pokemon Company has set the date for the 2022 Pokemon World Championships.
The competitive event will be held from August 18th to 21st in the ExCeL London, located in London, UK. It will feature competitions for the following games:
- Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield
- The Pokémon Trading Card Game
- Pokkén Tournament DX
- Pokémon UNITE
- Pokémon GO
From August 17th till 21st, there will also be a temporary Pokemon Center store set up with merch. Invited players will be able to attend the event for free, but spectators will have to pay for a spectator badge. More details on spectator badges will be shared at a later date.
