Wondering how many returning Pokemon have been confirmed for Pokemon Sword and Shield as of September 18, 2019?
As of September 18, 209 Pokemon are confirmed to return to Pokemon Sword and Shield. This number was derived through official screenshots and trailers released by The Pokemon Company. That would mean around 500 to 600 Pokemon have been left unaccounted for at this time.
Generation 5 currently has the most returning Pokemon at 47 Pokemon, while Generation 7 has the fewest returning Pokemon at 20. The three most recent Pokemon that were confirmed earlier today are Escavalier, Farfetch’d, and Karrablast.
