Pokemon GO dataminer Chrales has uncovered the new evolution methods coming to Pokemon GO which will finally make Leafeon and Glaceon obtainable in-game.

The datamined files discovered by Chrales detail three new types of Lure Modules, each tailored to a specific type of Pokemon. The Glacial Lure Module for Pokemon that “love the cold”, the Mossy Lure Module for Pokemon that “love mossy scents” and the Magnetic Lure Module for Pokemon that “possess a magnetic field”. Each of these lure modules are also said to cause some Pokemon to evolve.

The descriptions of these three Lure Modules match the “environmental” triggers for the Ice and Grass type evolutions for Eevee, with the “Glacial Module” being akin to the Ice Rock and the “Mossy Module” being akin to the Moss Rock. As for the “Magnetic Module” it likely corresponds to the “Special Magnetic Field” which is needed to obtain Magnezone and Probopass.

In line with the games, Pokemon Go players will likely need to have the appropriate modules active near them in order to evolve Eevee, Magneton and Nosepass into Glaceon/Leafeon, Magnezone and Probopass. Although it is currently unknown how these special modules will be distributed, its possible that they will be obtainable via PVP or Completing Research, similar to the Sinnoh Stone. We will bring more information as it becomes available.
