Nintendo Issues Official Statement Confirming Decision To Skip E3 2023
A few weeks ago, reports surfaced that gaming three biggest publishers would be skipping E3 2023, including Nintendo.
Following these reports, Nintendo has now released an official statement confirming they will not be present at the event, saying that the timing of this year’ E3 “didn’t fit” into their plans. You can read it in full below, via VentureBeat.
“We approach our involvement in any event on a case-by-case basis and are always considering various ways to engage with our fans. Since this year’s E3 show didn’t fit into our plans, we have made the decision to not participate. However, we have been and continue to be a strong supporter of the ESA and E3.”
This news comes after additional sources claimed that Nintendo was skipping the event because they had “fewer major releases than usual” for the second half of the year. While Nintendo’s official statement does not contradict this, its also vague enough that their actual reasons remain somewhat unclear. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
