Today in a tweet by the Japanese Paramount Twitter, they have stated that the official website for the Sonic Movie is now open!

For now the site only shows just the poster of the film that was revealed earlier this month but will likely be updated soon with a trailer of some sort.

Translation of this tweet reads:

A total of 800 million people are enthusiastic around the world! The popular game character is finally a Hollywood live action movie that hero of the universe fastest [#ソニック・ザ・ムービー] official site is open!

That’s right, according to Paramount 800 million people around the world are enthusiastic about the Sonic movie. That number does seem a little off.
