Last year, AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative made its debut as the second thrilling entry in the AI: The Somnium Files series. While there’s still no official word about a third entry in the series, it looks like its creators are keen on the idea!
In an interview with Dengeki Online, creator Kotaro Uchikoshi and game director Akira Okada reflected on the likelihood of a possible third entry in the series. In particular, they shared their excitement towards such a project, especially with the series getting more popular at home and overseas:
Interviewer: Can we have high expectations for the third game now?
Okada: Personally, I’m very excited to develop a third game. The number of [Ai the Somnium Files fans] has been steadily increasing both overseas and in Japan. It’s this support that allows us to stay motivated and continue to bring new titles. I hope to meet everyone’s expectations.
Interviewer: What about you, Uchikoshi-san?
Uchikoshi: I concur with Akira. I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone who played AI! If you continue to support us, then maybe you’ll meet Kagami once again!
