Animal Crossing: New Horizons Overtakes Pokemon X And Y’s Sales In Japan

As we approach the second month anniversary of Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ release, the game has achieved yet another important milestone in Japan.

According to Game Data Library, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has become the bestselling retail game in Japanese history. As of May 17, 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold over 4 million copies at retail.

The previous game that held that record were Pokemon X and Y, which claimed that spot for 6 years.

What do you think of this achievement?
