Famitsu has published the Japanese weekly sales rankings for the period between April 6 and April 12, 2020.
After 3 weeks of topping the charts, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has dropped to second place with the release of Final Fantasy VII in Japan. The game sold 292,876 copies in Japan, which is a pretty good figure.
However, Nintendo Switch sales tanked to 19,429 units and Nintendo Switch Lite sales dropped to 5884 units. This is most likely because of the ongoing shortages caused by high demand as many Japanese citizens have to stay at home amid the coronavirus state of emergency measures.
