Animal Crossing: New Horizons Was Nintendo’s Best-Selling Switch Game In The Last Fiscal Year

Nintendo has published their latest financial results for the fiscal year ending in March 2021, revealing their highest selling Switch games for the period.

According to the figures, 36 Switch games sold over a million copies from April 2020 to 31st March 2021, 22 of which were published by Nintendo. Unsurprisingly, Animal Crossing: New Horizons was the top seller at a whopping 20.85 million sales. In total, Switch software sales grew by around 36.8% for a total figure of 230.88 million units.

That said, it should be noted that these are ‘sell-in’ figures reflecting the numbers sent out to retailers as opposed to the numbers bought by consumers.
