In a Kotaku interview, Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma was asked whether Zelda is playable in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2.
Instead of a yes or no answer, Aonuma told Kotaku that he couldn’t say whether Zelda is playable in Breath of the Wild 2, a very strange answer that has led some to speculate there’s a chance of that happening.
Aonuma: A lot of people have been asking that and that’s why I want to ask you, why do people think that?
Kotaku: Well, it seems that it would make sense, because at the end of Breath of the Wild she was released, so now she can be a protagonist. Also, I think people have loved her for a long time.
Aonuma: I see … (laughs), but I can not tell you.
