Arena of Valor, one of the world’s largest MOBAs, is launching on Nintendo Switch next month.
Engadget sat down with Tencent Games to talk about the Nintendo Switch version of Arena of Valor, which is slightly different from the mobile version.
Tencent first revealed that Arena of Valor has received a graphics boost on Nintendo Switch. This applies not only to its visuals but its animations and lightning effects. Rough lines have been smoothed out and elements such as butterflies have been added to the game’s scenery.
Stats on the Switch version will be different from the mobile version, given how well the game is played on the big screen and controllers on Switch. Cross platform play with the mobile version has also been ruled out due to the differences between both versions.
Finally, Tencent Games now has two teams – one developing the mobile version, and another for the Switch version. This will ensure balance for both versions stay strong.
