The Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World set comes with a copy of Mario Kart World, but its redemption method could differ depending on the country/region you purchased the set from.
In this guide, we’ll introduce the different ways of redeeming Mario Kart World, and also explain some things you need to take note of.
The first method is full game download, which applies to most Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World sets sold around the world (list of regions listed in the later part of this guide).
If full game download is stated on your set, it means that the software license is stored on the game console and you have to link it to a Nintendo Account before you can download it. In this case, no download code will be provided in the box.
To download the game, simply access the Nintendo eShop on the HOME Menu with the Nintendo Account that you want the software license to be tied to.
Once the Nintendo eShop opens up, you will be greeted by a prompt, telling you that you can download Mario Kart World on this system. Select the “proceed to download” button.
If you wish to complete the process later, you can register the product by going to the Nintendo eShop, selecting your user account icon, and pressing the “Confirm” button under “Products Bundled with Console”.
Important notes to take note for Full Game Download
In some regions, Mario Kart World comes in the form of a download code. You can find the download code on a leaflet inside the packaging.
You can redeem the download code by following these steps after completing the setup process:
