Update: Banjo-Kazooie and Blast Corps Mistakenly Listed As Wii U Virtual Console Releases This Month

There’s been an interesting find regarding Banjo-Kazooie coming to Nintendo consoles that just doesn’t add up.

Gematsu, a Japanese gaming news site, has shared an image showing that the Japanese website for Nintendo lists Banjo-Kazooie and Blast Corps as games that are headed to the virtual console…on the Wii U?

Now this is bizarre for several reason but the main one being that the games would be headed to Nintendo’s console from the previous generation. It would be strange for them to not head to the Switch instead. The links to the game’s listings also lead to 404 error pages.

So it’s most likely an error or outdated plan according to GameXplain who theorizes below that there might have been plans for the games to come the Wii U years before the Switch came out but they just never happened.

Could this mean that the games may head to the Switch as an alternative in the future? Let us know your thoughts below.

UPDATE: Nintendo of Japan has tweeted out that the games were listed as December 30 releases by mistake. The schedule has been corrected.
