During a talk at Reboot Develop 2018, Platinum Games’ star duo Atsushi Inaba and Hideki Kamiya briefly talked about Bayonetta 3, which is currently in development for Nintendo Switch.
Although both Inaba and Kamiya didn’t divulge much about the game, Inaba mentioned that Bayonetta 3 is a turning point for how the company makes games, but he didn’t elaborate in what way.
Just like its predecessors, Bayonetta 3 would be a linear core progression action game, but Platinum is thinking of doing new things, adding gimmicks, and new ways to play. In essence, Bayonetta 3 would have to raise the bar way higher than what Bayonetta 2 offered – something that’s crazier, better, and offers tighter action.
