The Best Pokken Tournament DX Player In The World Will Take Home 6000 Dollars

Ever wondered how much competitive Pokken Tournament DX players make? The Pokemon Company has just revealed the answer.

Since 2016, The Pokemon Company has organized competitive tournaments for Pokken Tournament every year. 2018 will be no different, with Pokken Tournament DX becoming the game where players fight it out instead.

To determine who enters the Pokemon World Championships, Pokken Tournament DX qualifiers are held in North America, Europe, Australia, and Japan before August 2018. Top players from each region will receive an invitation (with flight and hotel all paid for) to compete in the Pokemon World Championships in August.

While Pokken Tournament DX hasn’t exactly reached the level of well known eSports games, a prize pool has been set up for the most outstanding players. Here’s a look at what winners will take home:

Regional and International Championship Events

Masters Division

1st place: $1,250 and Worlds invitation

2nd place: $1,000 and Worlds invitation

3rd place: $750 and Worlds invitation*

4th place: $600 and Worlds invitation*

5th place tie: $450 each

7th place tie: $250 each

*Note: Only two players from the Oceania International Championships receive invitations.

Senior Division

1st place: Nintendo Switch console, 72 Pokémon Trading Card Game booster packs, and Worlds invitation

2nd place: Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, 36 Pokémon Trading Card Game booster packs, and Worlds invitation*

3rd place: 36 Pokémon Trading Card Game booster packs

*Note: Only one player from the Oceania International Championships receives an invitation.

1st place: $6,000

2nd place: $4,000

3rd place: $3,000

4th place: $2,000

5th place tie: $1,500 each

7th place tie: $1,000 each
