Earlier, Nintendo revealed a new peek at the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 – which shows that players will be able to explore the skies above Hyrule in an all-new quest. As for why we haven’t received an full reveal of this sequel’s title yet, it looks like Nintendo wants to keep this important info close to its chest right now!
During an interview with IGN, Nintendo’s Bill Trinen shared that Nintendo was indeed holding back on revealing the game’s full title for the sake of keeping its premise more of a secret. Specifically, Trinen states that knowing the full title would already give away “little hints” about what happens in the new adventure:
“As for why we’re holding back on the name, you’ll just have to stay tuned because, obviously, Zelda names are kind of important. Those subtitles… they start to give little bits of hints about maybe what’s going to happen.”
As things stand, it looks like we’ll just have to wait until we get closer to the game’s planned release window in 2022 to hear more. We’ll report back when we do!
