BioWare Producer Blames Breath Of The Wild For Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Backlash

In a recent Youtube video, Bioware executive producer Mark Darrah revealed he believed the reason why Mass Effect: Andromeda didn’t get a fair shake was due to its close launch to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Both Mass Effect Andromeda and Breath of the Wild launched in the same month, and as the “deeply flawed” Mass Effect Andromeda couldn’t be compared to the phenomenal Breath of the Wild, Darrah believes Mass Effect could have scored higher and in turn receive higher number of sales if it didn’t launch in March 2017.
