In a closing statement during the Tokyo Games Show, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 producer, Kazuhiro Tsuchiya, assured fans of the beloved franchise that Capcom has not forgotten about our blue hero.
Translated by kobun20, Tsuchiya said:
“I want to say that Capcom has not forgotten about Rockman (Mega Man). This (30th anniversary logo) here is being put to good use. Rockman’s 30th anniversary is coming in December – December, please remember that date!
On behalf of Ucchy and everyone here, we are looking forward to it very much and hope you are as well. We are deeply pleased to be able to share this with all the fans who have made this possible. Thank you for all of your support, up til now, and in the future.”
Though 30 years already, Mega Man still has quite a huge following. Even as the franchise has been in quite a hiatus the past few years with no new game releases, Tsuchiya’s remarks should calm the worried fans down a little. You can read the full article from Rockman-Corner here.
