Capcom Is Increasing Base Salaries For Its Japanese Staff By 30%

Capcom employees in Japan will now enjoy better pay from this fiscal year, according to the company.

In an official statement this week, Capcom Japan announced that it is increasing its employees’ average base salaries by 30%, starting from the beginning of its 2022 fiscal year on April 1. In addition to this, the company shared that it is introduce a new bonus system that is more closely tied to the company’s business performance.

The announcement comes ahead of an expected fifth consecutive year of record profits for Capcom and a ninth consecutive year of operating income growth for the company. Capcom will be reporting its 2021 fiscal year results in May.

On top of this, the company also stated that it will continue to grow its employee performance review and training systems. Capcom also said it would be putting in place a new structure designed to facilitate better communication between management and employees.
