Capcom Now Also Seeking Out English Licensing Partners For Mega Man Battle Network’s 20th Anniversary

Earlier this year, Capcom Japan commenced its search for licensing partners to assist with the Mega Man Battle Network (MMBN) series’ 20th anniversary in 2021 – possibly hinting at big plans for the beloved franchise next year. Well, it looks like things might also be heating up for MMBN fans in the west as well!

Capcom USA’s official Licensing Business site has now opened a similar application exercise to seek out English licensing partners for the MMBN series’ 20th anniversary. Scrolling down the site will show the following links for companies to learn more and apply:

At first glance, this may just look like regular business babble to most regular folks. However, it bears noting that Capcom opened similar applications for Mega Man X’s 25th anniversary in 2016. That recruitment call was followed by the release of various goods, and eventually culminated in the launch of Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 in 2018.

We’ll just have to wait and see if this leads to anything big for the MMBN series in the future. Stay tuned!
