Recently, Nintendo released some brand new DLC for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (titled Special Episode) on Nintendo Switch which brought many new levels and a brand new story!
Well it seems at the end of the DLC’s story, the main objective was to obtain the Super Crown power up (that turns Toadette in to Peachette) from New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe which explains why they appear in that game!
