Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Dennis Lee has revealed an interesting fact about Captain Tsubasa: RISE OF NEW CHAMPIONS, which was announced for Nintendo Switch earlier this week.
Lee told USGamer that the company initially planned to release Captain Tsubasa: RISE OF NEW CHAMPIONS only in two regions – Latin America and Japan. They changed their minds after figuring out it was a really fun game that should be enjoyed by everyone else in the world:
“When we evaluated the game, we realized that it was a really fun game. So even if they don’t know Tsubasa and the characters, soccer fans and fans of arcade-style sports games can have a really good time playing it. Because of that, we decided that we couldn’t just release it in Latin America.”
