Remember when you were young and you made little cardboard creations. With a little imagination, the cardboard creations will come to life and keep you occupied for the next two weeks.
Nintendo has recreated that childhood pastime and added a little Switch steroids to it.
In a video trailer that was earlier teased and just released. Nintendo showed off their latest “Toys to Life” series that received a unique twist. Instead of action figures, Nintendo provides you with cardboard pieces and guides to allow you to create a variety of amazing cardboard creations.
Shown off in the video were creations like a piano, a robot set, a fishing rod, a joystick, crank, house-like object, even your own cyborg costume. And by inserting the Switch or its Joy-cons, players would be able to bring their cardboard creations to life.
It is a bit hard for me to explain the whole surrealness of seeing cardboard and rubber bands turn themselves into weekend fun without the heavy use of imagination, so I’ll let Nintendo’s trailer do the talking.
