Alongside the announcement for the Pokemon 30th Anniversary “Pokéxciting” campaign in Asia, we have our first image of the Pokemon Center Pop-Up store that will be opened in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur is the first stop in the Pokéxciting” campaign, and the Pokemon Center Pop-Up store will be open there at Ombak KLCC from 12 September to 31 December 2026. Pokemon merch, games, and TCG products will be available to purchase at the pop-up, including special 30th Anniversary merch. The store will feature rotating themes based on Pikachu, Fire-Types, Grass-Types, and Water-Types over the course of the store’s life.

A mascot Pikachu for the Kuala Lumpur leg of the campaign has also been revealed. The Turquoise PokéXciting! Pikachu will be available to capture in Pokemon GO there during the event period. Other countries on the tour will presumably receive their own exclusive PokéXciting! Pikachu variant.

During the press conference for the event, Pokemon Company corporate officer Susumu Fukunaga reportly said that that Malaysia may get its very own permanent Pokemon Center store if the pop-up does well. At the time of this writing, the only permanent Pokemon Center store in the region is the one in Singapore.
