Some new promotional material for the Super Mario Galaxy Movie has been released online.

Firstly, Nintendo aired a trailer for the film during the Super Bowl LX, featuring an extended look at the scene where Yoshi, Toad, and the Baby Mario Bros. encounter the T-Rex from Super Mario Odyssey. You can watch it via the link below:

Next, a synopsis for the film has popped up, giving us a better idea of the plot of the movie. It confirms once again that Yoshi and Rosalina will have major supporting roles, with Bowser Jr. serving as the main villain.

“The Super Mario brothers are back for a cosmic sequel where the fate of the entire galaxy hangs in the balance. Having thwarted Bowser’s previous plot to marry Princess Peach, Mario and Luigi now face a fresh threat in Bowser Jr., who is determined to liberate his father from captivity and restore the family legacy.

Alongside their loyal companion Toad and the celestial protector Rosalina, the brothers travel across the stars to stop the young heir’s crusade, eventually crossing paths with a friendly new ally, Yoshi. Despite the cosmic pressure, these plumbers prove they can handle any leak in the galaxy’s security—because when things get backed up, they always find a way to flush out the competition.”
