Check Out This Fan-Made Conversion Of Super Mario Bros For The Commodore 64

Retro game enthusiasts everywhere can now experience playing Mario on the Commodore 64 thanks to one dedicated fan.

For those unfamiliar, the Commodore 64 was an 8-bit home computer originally launched in the 1982, about a year before Nintendo released the Famicom in 1983. It was one of the most popular home computers of that era, and had many games published for it.

The conversion is the work of developer ZeroPaige, who has been working on the project for around 7 years. It is advertised as a complete 1:1 recreation of the original Super Mario Bros for the Commodore 64, and can be played via real hardware in addition to emulation. ZeroPaige has released the files for download here.
