China’s Supreme Court Creates Video With Unauthorized Super Mario Bros. Graphics And Music

The Supreme People’s Court of China has uploaded a video on their official Weibo account depicting Mario as a Chinese judge.

In the video, Mario is seen catching criminals and sending them to jail. The problem with the video, however, is the unauthorized use of Super Mario Bros. sprites and background music, as the court did not ask Nintendo for permission to use these assets. Even if they did, Nintendo would have flat out refused.

Watch the video below (split into two parts).

What do you think? Let us know in the comments.

Update (January 30, 2019): The video has been taken down on Weibo.
