English-speaking Super Sentai enthusiasts can now enjoy the Choujin Sentai Jetman Famicom game in their native language thanks to fan translators.
For those who may not be aware, Choujin Sentai Jetman was the 15th entry into the long-running Japanese live-action series Super Sentai, the basis for Saban’s Power Rangers. In fact, Jetman was very nearly chosen to be adapted as the first season of Power Rangers, but was passed in favor of its dinosaur-based successor Zyuranger, known to the west as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Even so, Jetman still remains one of the fan favorite seasons of Super Sentai, and was popular enough at the time of its airing to receive a platformer game for the Famicom (NES). Although it was never released outside of Japan, it can now be played in English thanks to fan-translator chronix, who created an English patch for the game available here.
