It appears Nintendo hired several competitive players part of the Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U community to help play test and conduct quality assurance checks for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
The names of professional players were found in the credits – 9B, aMSa, Ranai and Earth. This shows Nintendo wanted the feedback of competitive players in the development of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It’s a great step forward for the community and eSports.
