Crash Bandicoot Looks Different On The Japanese Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Boxart

Today we have an interesting observation to share with you about how Crash Bandicoot looks like on the Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled boxart in Japan and the west.

The game, which was released last month in the west, features the following boxart:

At first glance, the Japanese boxart looks similar to the western boxart. But if you look closer you will realize Crash Bandicoot looks closer to his classic appearance. The scenery and characters in the background are pretty much unchanged:

As to why these changes were made, we have no idea at this time. A Japanese copy of the game could be purchased from Amazon Japan.
