The Definitive Edition looks like it has it all.
In today’s Nintendo Direct, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition was announced for the Nintendo Switch. And one part of the trailer stood out in particular since it seems to have been a place that was inaccessible in the original Wii version of the game.
So it looks like this remake will include content that was not complete, back into the game.
