Solatorobo: Red The Hunter turned eight in Japan this week, and developer CyberConnect2 hasn’t forgotten.
Today, @miyoshi (one of the studio’s staff) released some artwork of Red Savarin in a super-deformed art style. The Japanese words roughly translate to ‘Release Anniversary!!’ to highlight the game’s original release for Nintendo DS on 28 October 2010.
Here’s the original visual for comparison (by Nobuteru Yuki), which went on to become the game’s cover art in Europe.
While it’s not much, at least fans won’t have to wait a lot longer to experience more of the series. After all, CyberConnect2 is already working on FUGA – a strategy battle simulator taking place in the same world of cat- and dog-people!
