Daemon X Machina Japanese Boxart With ESRB Rating Spotted In Southeast Asia

Today we have some interesting news about Daemon X Machina coming from Southeast Asia.

Apparently the Daemon X Machina copies sold in Southeast Asia come with an ESRB rating on the Japanese boxart. This is a very peculiar situation as ESRB ratings don’t usually appear on Japanese region games. The reason why this may have been allowed in the first place is because Marvelous Games is the publisher for Daemon X Machina in Asia and Japan, while Nintendo takes cares of North America and Europe.

Check out the boxart below:

For comparison’s sake, here’s the Japanese and US boxarts:

It’s also important to keep in mind that the Japanese version of Daemon X Machina only allows players to access the Japanese region Nintendo eShop for DLC.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments.

Thanks, Brandon.
