Back in 2018, Dark Horse Comics announced that they would be publishing a graphic novel based on ARMS, one of Nintendo’s newest original IPs.
Although an introductory issue for this ARMS comic book series was released on Free Comic Book Day 2018, it was subsequently announced to be delayed to 2019, with no significant updates about the project since then.
For the ARMS fans who were still wondering about the comic’s status, it seems we now have confirmation that it has indeed been cancelled. As shared by Reddit user Dr-Richie-74, ARMS comic writer Ian Flynn has listed the project on his official website as “planned, but unfortunately cancelled”.
This news is unlikely to come as a surprise to most, given that ARMS has largely faded from the spotlight apart from Min Min’s appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Even so, it is nice to have some closure on the status of the graphic novel, especially for fans who had been looking forward to it.
