Some physical owners of Darksiders: Warmastered Edition on Switch might find themselves holding on to an unusual defect.
Apparently, some copies of the action-adventure title are shipping with black spines and Switch logos, instead of the usual red branding on Switch cases. Soon after some pictures appeared on Twitter, THQ Nordic confirmed that the black spines were not normal. Some unboxing videos also feature the same black spines – so it appears to be quite widespread.
Whether these spines are disappointing or awesome depends on your perspective. Switch completionists will probably lose their minds over one black spine sticking out among other red boxes. Meanwhile, physical collectors will probably drool over an extremely rare misprint such as this.
In all honesty, the black spine actually matches the serious tone of the Darksiders series quite well! It will be interesting to see if this kind of mix-up happens again in the future.
