Dataminer Discovers Unused Human Model In Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

Dataminer Kapu, who first reported on the upcoming SNES games for Nintendo Switch Online members, has made an interesting discovery in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

Kapu, who was digging through the internal files of the Switch version, discovered an unused human model wearing a futuristic suit that looks out of place in the Super Mario universe. No one knows why it’s inside the game, and neither does anyone know who the model represents:

Many speculate that the model was used for debugging purposes, but we wouldn’t know unless Nintendo reveals the reason why it’s inside the game.
