Detective Pikachu World Premiere Event To Be Held In Japan On April 25

With the release of Detective Pikachu right around the corner, details for its World Premiere Event have finally been revealed.

The world premiere of Detective Pikachu is scheduled to be held in Tokyo Japan on April 25th. Actors Ryan Reynolds (Detective Pikachu), Justice Smith (Tim Goodman), Kathryn Netwon (Lucy Stevens), Ken Watanabe (Lt. Yoshida), Ryoma Takeuchi (Tim Goodman’s Japanese Voice Actor), Marie Iitoyo (Lucy Steven’s Japanese Voice Actor), and director Rob Letterman are all reported to be making appearances, though this may be subject to change.

In addition, fans in Japan have a chance to win one of 150 pairs of tickets to the event by participating in a lottery via the movie’s official Twitter account. However, it seems that despite it being the “World Premiere” of Detective Pikachu, the film is not actually going to be shown during the event, so do take note of that before trying to score tickets!

Detective Pikachu will be releasing in theaters worldwide this May.
