Back in 1996, Nintendo teased the development Super Mario 128 – a supposed sequel to Super Mario 64 with a tech demo featuring dozens of Marios running around. Of course, the game disappeared into development limbo and would be overshadowed by other games like Super Mario Galaxy in the 2000s.
