Sales data for the United Kingdom’s video game market has been released today, revealing how Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze performed at launch.
Although Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze was ported to Nintendo Switch from Wii U, it didn’t stop gamers from buying it at all. The game debuted on the sales charts as the second bestselling game of the week, only to be beaten by God of War for PS4.
In just a few days, the Switch version accounted for nearly 17% of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze’s overall physical copy sales in the UK. We expect the percentage to increase in the weeks and months to come.
