Square Enix has announced that the Dragon Quest I-II HD-2D Remake Nintendo Switch 2 physical release is a Game-Key Card release. It will require a 17GB download.

As for the Nintendo Switch physical release, it will be on a Game Card, so for those of you who prefer Game Cards, you can consider getting the Switch version.

Both physical versions are now up for pre-order on Amazon Japan, estimated to ship by October 30, 2025 (ships worldwide):
