Following the broadcast of the Dragon Quest XI Direct, Nintendo has announced that the game can now be pre-loaded on the Japanese Nintendo eShop.
By pre-loading the game, you can download most of the game before its release date. Once launch day comes, you can instantly start playing after downloading a few kilobytes of data.
